- Three hydrogen fuel cell trucks deployed in logistics operations to support greener transportation

- Pilot project to evaluate operational feasibility and support the transition toward low-carbon logistics

Korea Pallet Pool (KPP), an affiliate of LOGISALL Group, is collaborating with Lotte Chilsung Beverage on a pilot project deploying hydrogen fuel cell trucks, marking a step toward establishing a lower-carbon logistics transportation system.

The project was jointly planned and initiated by the two companies, reflecting their shared commitment to sustainable logistics and the transition toward environmentally friendly mobility. KPP serves as a logistics partner of Lotte Chilsung Beverage.

The companies have already deployed three hydrogen fuel cell trucks in actual logistics operations to transport products. Through the pilot project, they plan to collect operational data, evaluate transportation efficiency, and assess the feasibility of expanding the use of hydrogen-powered vehicles.

Based on these findings, the companies aim to gradually transition from conventional internal combustion engine vehicles to more environmentally friendly transportation alternatives, reducing carbon emissions associated with logistics operations.

Lotte Chilsung Beverage has continued to expand its adoption of environmentally friendly vehicles. In recognition of its efforts to meet green vehicle purchasing targets, the company received the Ministerial Award from the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment at the 2025 Korea Energy Awards.

The green vehicle purchasing target system requires eligible organizations to purchase a designated proportion of environmentally friendly vehicles, including battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, when acquiring new business vehicles.

KPP is also pursuing low-carbon operations in line with LOGISALL Group''s 10 ESG strategic initiatives. Its efforts include replacing aging vehicles, improving transportation efficiency through larger-capacity trucks, and expanding the adoption of environmentally friendly vehicles to reduce emissions across its transportation operations.

A KPP representative said, "Through our collaboration with Lotte Chilsung Beverage, we plan to accumulate operational data from hydrogen fuel cell trucks in actual logistics environments and gradually expand the application of environmentally friendly transportation solutions."
