- Jointly pursuing pilot projects in defense and commercial logistics and developing new business opportunities with defense companies

Korea Pool Operation (KPO), an affiliate of LOGISALL Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with defense equipment specialist MKDS to expand business opportunities in the defense and commercial logistics sectors.

The signing ceremony was held on October 1 at LOGISALL headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul, with representatives from both companies in attendance. The agreement aims to combine KPO’s logistics operations expertise with MKDS’s capabilities in defense business development and sales to identify new opportunities in the defense and commercial logistics markets and establish a sustainable framework for cooperation.

Under the agreement, KPO will be responsible for overall logistics operations required for joint projects, including supply and transportation management, process optimization and the provision of logistics infrastructure. MKDS will focus on identifying new business opportunities and conducting sales activities with defense-related organizations and companies, connecting demand in the defense logistics market with KPO’s logistics capabilities.

The two companies will explore various business models in defense and commercial logistics, including annual integrated contracts, while pursuing pilot projects tailored to the characteristics of the defense logistics market. They will also jointly develop new business opportunities and conduct sales activities targeting defense companies to broaden the scope of their cooperation.

Based on the outcomes of pilot projects and new business initiatives, KPO and MKDS plan to gradually expand their partnership. The companies will further develop logistics operating models that combine their respective expertise while continuing to identify new opportunities spanning both defense and commercial logistics, with the goal of establishing a long-term partnership.

A KPO representative said, “By combining MKDS’s expertise in the defense sector with KPO’s comprehensive logistics capabilities, we aim to provide logistics services that meet the needs of the field. We will continue to develop a collaborative model that enables both companies to grow together in the defense and commercial logistics markets.”
