- Designed with key North American automotive industry standards in mind, ensuring structural compatibility with commonly used products in the market
- Foldable, modular design enhances transportation and storage efficiency while simplifying maintenance
Korea Pallet Pool (KPP), an affiliate of LOGISALL Group, has launched the F12A, a plastic Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) designed for the transportation and storage of automotive parts in line with key standards used in the North American automotive industry.
Developed with the goal of entering the North American automotive parts logistics market, the F12A is structurally compatible with products commonly used in the region. It is designed for mixed use within existing logistics environments, while its distinctive color makes the asset easier to identify when stacked or handled alongside other containers.
The F12A features a 1/2.5 folding structure that reduces its volume when collapsed, improving space efficiency during return transportation, storage and handling. Doors on both sides provide convenient access when loading and unloading parts, while the container can be stacked up to six units high.
Maintenance has also been simplified through a modular design. Button-type modular hinge covers allow only damaged sections to be replaced, while key components—including the side panels, front panels and doors—can be assembled and disassembled without separate tools. The modular structure also supports various option combinations, enabling customization for different customer operating environments.
For transportation safety, the F12A incorporates an anti-slip banding structure and multi-level stacking stoppers. Sidewall band holes with adjustable securing positions allow the container and its contents to be firmly secured according to the height of the load. The product also features a lid designed to prevent foreign-material ingress and an Easy Peel label plate for easier label removal, supporting repeated use and convenient cleaning.
Product performance was verified through in-house testing at the LOGISALL Packaging Innovation Center. The F12A withstood a load of 9.8 tons in a six-level stacking compression test. Tests conducted using material containing recycled content—including loading, dynamic load and sidewall pressure tests—also confirmed performance comparable to the benchmark product.
A KPP representative said, “The F12A was developed to meet the compatibility, transportation safety and space-efficiency requirements of the North American automotive parts logistics environment, while also supporting repeated use and easier maintenance. We will continue to expand packaging solutions optimized for logistics environments across global industries and contribute to improving our customers’ logistics efficiency.”
