LOGISALL Group announced that the KRW 100 million donation it made to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation has successfully supported the medical treatment of eight children battling pediatric cancer and rare, intractable diseases over the past two years.
In 2024, in celebration of its 40th anniversary, LOGISALL Group launched an employee “Walk-to-Donate” campaign and donated KRW 100 million raised through employee participation to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Over the following two years, the donation was used through the Foundation’s medical expense assistance program to support children in need of treatment. LOGISALL Group recently received a report detailing how the funds were used and the outcomes of the initiative.
The eight beneficiaries are children from low-income, single-parent, and multi-child households who are undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with conditions including acute lymphoblastic leukemia, neuroblastoma, and diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG). The donated funds were used to cover essential medical expenses, including inpatient and outpatient treatment, transplantation procedures, surgeries, and medications for rare diseases.
Pediatric cancer refers to malignant tumors that occur in children and adolescents under the age of 18. In South Korea, approximately 1,200 to 1,500 new cases are reported each year. While the overall cure rate is relatively high at approximately 80–85%, the average treatment period often extends beyond three years, placing significant financial and emotional burdens on patients and their families.
“We hope that every step our employees took together has provided a measure of hope and encouragement to the children undergoing treatment and their families,” said a LOGISALL Group representative. “We will continue to closely support those in our communities who need assistance and fulfill our corporate social responsibility through sustained social contribution initiatives.”
