- RRCC Recognized for Harmonizing Environmental Sustainability and Logistics Efficiency

- Enhancing Industrial Competitiveness with Reusable Solutions Compatible with Automated Packaging Lines

Korea Container Pool (KCP), a subsidiary of LOGISALL Group, announced today that it has been honored with the Mayor of Bucheon Award at the "20th Korea Star Awards 2026".

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology’s (KITECH) Packaging Technology Center, the Korea Star Awards is a government-sanctioned award program. It aims to enhance national and corporate competitiveness by discovering outstanding technologies and products in the packaging sector. At the ceremony held on the 31st, KCP received the award in the Corporate Category for its innovative RRCC (Reusable Returnable Collapsible Container).

The RRCC is a sustainable alternative to conventional single-use corrugated cardboard boxes. Made from durable Danpla (corrugated plastic) material, it retains the functional characteristics of paper boxes while allowing for repeated use. This transition not only reduces packaging costs but also significantly improves product protection through enhanced resistance to crushing, impact, and moisture.

A key differentiator for the RRCC is its status as Korea's first reusable packaging solution compatible with fully automated packaging lines. It can be manufactured to the exact specifications and printing requirements of existing paper boxes, allowing companies to adopt the solution without modifying their current facilities. Its ability to be used alongside existing packaging materials further increases its practical utility in the field.

From an environmental perspective, the RRCC facilitates ESG management by reducing waste through its circular structure. To support this, KCP provides a comprehensive reusable operations service—including retrieval, cleaning, and re-supply—to ensure a stable and sustainable circulation system.

In tandem with the RRCC, KCP has developed and filed a patent for a "Hybrid Case Erector." Recognizing that compatibility with existing automated systems (such as case erectors and sealers) is a critical barrier to adopting new packaging, KCP designed this machine to handle both RRCC and standard paper boxes simultaneously.

This hybrid capability allows for flexible operations tailored to specific logistics environments. For instance, companies can use paper boxes for export or deliveries to remote areas where retrieval is difficult, while utilizing RRCC for regions where a return loop is established.

Currently, clients across various industries—including food, household goods, electronics, and agriculture—are conducting implementation tests. Full-scale commercialization of the RRCC is scheduled to begin in late April 2026.

"RRCC is more than just a packaging box; it is a practical alternative that simultaneously realizes logistics efficiency and environmental value," said a representative from Korea Container Pool. "We will continue to develop reusable packaging solutions applicable to diverse industries, contributing to the establishment of a sustainable logistics ecosystem."
