– Joint PPA-based renewable energy business initiative

– Strengthened collaboration to expand logistics-center solar projects and accelerate RE100 implementation

LOGISALL and Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on December 3 to jointly pursue solar power PPA projects and new energy businesses aimed at achieving carbon neutrality and enhancing ESG value. The agreement reflects the growing global momentum toward carbon reduction, corporate RE100 commitments, and the expansion of renewable energy projects through PPA models.

Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate across multiple areas, including the development of solar power plants at LOGISALL-operated logistics centers, renewable energy generation projects, securing energy consumption sites, and long-term power supply cooperation. Hyundai E&C will provide comprehensive support, including PPA contracting for LOGISALL’s renewable energy assets, proposing new energy business models, and sharing policy and market insights.

Hyundai E&C has been expanding its business from traditional EPC (Engineering–Procurement–Construction) capabilities into renewable energy supply and distribution. The company has been focusing on developing small- and mid-scale solar power plants and shaping a PPA ecosystem accessible to more participants, while also delivering solutions to help corporations achieve RE100 (100% renewable electricity at business sites).

LOGISALL, a leader in establishing logistics standards in Korea, provides supply chain management (SCM) services to more than 350,000 companies nationwide. Leveraging its logistics infrastructure, the company has continued to advance new energy businesses, including solar initiatives, as part of its ESG strategy. Since launching its first solar power plant in Gwangyang (2.17MW) in 2016, LOGISALL has steadily expanded its solar operations and plans to add 10MW of rooftop solar capacity at its logistics centers by 2026, accelerating its renewable energy portfolio.

A Hyundai E&C representative said, “Through this partnership with LOGISALL, we aim to expand the renewable energy ecosystem and actively pursue new business opportunities that merge logistics and energy.”

A LOGISALL representative added, “By combining logistics and energy, we see significant potential to create new business value. Through our collaboration with Hyundai E&C, we will secure and supply eco-friendly energy in a stable way and contribute to Korea’s national RE100 efforts.”
