- Presented Korea’s Physical Internet initiative, LAPI, and shared key packaging standardization solutions
- “LOGISALL will continue collaboration with Europe’s ALICE to drive global Physical Internet innovation”
LOGISALL Group participated in the Global Physical Internet Workshop held in Brussels, Belgium, on October 22, where it introduced Korea’s Physical Internet initiative, LAPI (Logistics Alliance for Physical Internet), and shared the group’s innovative solutions and real-world applications for the Physical Internet.
The workshop, co-hosted by ALICE (Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe) and POLIS, brought together global experts to discuss the implementation of logistics innovation based on the Physical Internet. LOGISALL was invited as the representative of Asia through LAPI, Korea’s official Physical Internet initiative.
The Physical Internet (PI) is an emerging concept that connects logistics networks in a manner similar to the digital internet, with the goal of maximizing efficiency through standardized, shared, and optimized operations. Originally developed in the United States and Europe, the concept has been expanding into Asia — including Korea, Japan, and China — through research and pilot implementation projects.
During the session, Hee-Won Chae, Executive Director of LOGISALL Consulting, introduced the company’s Sharing Unit Load System (SULS), a practical logistics solution applied in real operations that embodies the core principle of packaging standardization (Unit Load) within the Physical Internet framework. LOGISALL also discussed collaboration opportunities with European partners involved in innovation projects such as ALICE’s IKIGAI Project.
Other Korean participants included Dr. Jong-Kyung Kim from the Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL), who presented on the direction of Physical Internet technology standards, and Dr. Kyung-Rim Ahn from The K Consulting, who spoke on AI-based logistics standardization and innovations in the retail sector.
A LOGISALL official commented, “Through LAPI, Korea’s Physical Internet initiative, we will continue close communication and cooperation with ALICE to advance global logistics innovation and foster a more connected, sustainable logistics ecosystem.”
